Richard Jones

Richard Jones studied art in England at the North Oxfordshire school of art before moving on to study at the Oxford school of Architecture. After 3 years of study he took a break to travel, eventually arriving in South Australia where he worked and studied Commercial Interior Design.


Three years later he traveled to the former West Germany to work and study Civil Engineering. The Company that employed him was involved in the designing and construction of Power Stations and major Industrial Complex's world wide. Along with working on engineering drawings Richard handled most of the Architectural and Presentation works associated with these projects, and was eventually put in charge of a thirteen strong drawing office.


Even Project management offers in various world locations with the company, could not persuade him from returning to Australia. Settling in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia Richard opened his own Building Design Studio in Hahndorf. Over the following years many noteworthy project came from his office such as the internationally reknown Beerenberg Farm Complex, Jarrett Motor Company, Strathalbyn Hospital Additions , Renovaions of both the Echunga and Willunga Hotels just to name a few.


In 1994 Richard moved his family and practice to Maleny, Queensland where he has continued to design projects in an environmentally friendly and sometimes unusual styles
